Updates!
It’s been a minute since I have written, hello! :) Last you heard from me, I was embarking on a journey to become a licensed nail technician. Shortly after enrolling, I got accepted into graduate school, a clinical mental health counseling program I applied for, at the beginning of this year. I was shocked, excited, and proud, as I was unsure if I would get in. Since then, I had unenrolled from the nails specialty program and fully immersed myself into the counseling program. It’s crazy how life throws you curveballs. The school I enrolled in for nails ended up notifying me of the complete erasure of their nails specialty program. In that moment of receiving that information, it felt like a confirmation that “everything happens for a reason.” I will be honest and say that I wasn’t sure if this field was the right path for me, but I will always try anything and everything. However, since then my perspective has changed! I am absolutely LOVING school and I feel so much gratitude in the work I am going to do in the future. Nevertheless, this hasn’t stopped me from advancing my skills in nail art. I am still selling press-on sets if anyone is interested! Thank you to those who support me and have purchased nails from me. Because of the rigor of this program, it has been difficult for me to work, so being able to have this “side hustle” has been a blessing. I am so excited to keep growing on my journey to becoming a mental health counselor while still retaining the creative side of me. Attached is a picture of my most recent press-on set. Happy (early) Halloween! 🎃👻
